Sunshine Kids boutique was founded in 2024 by Mary, a mom of 6 who is passionate about sustainable fashion and childrenswear consignment shopping. We have grown into one of the most popular consignment stores in Georgetown, known for our high-quality inventory, fair prices, and exceptional customer service.

Our Mission

At Sunshine Kids boutique, our mission is to provide a curated selection of premium brands and childrenswear consignment that are high quality and affordable. We have a large variety of organic fabrics as well as boutique items. We believe that fashion doesn't have to be wasteful, and we are committed to reducing our environmental impact through the promotion of sustainable practices in Georgetown.

Our Process

We accept items on consignment from our customers and carefully select each piece based on its quality, style, and marketability. We handle the pricing, marketing, and selling aspects of each item, ensuring a hassle-free experience for our sellers. What is Sunshine Kids?

Sunshine Kids is a children's boutique and childrenswear consignment store that sells high-quality new, nearly new, and gently worn infant, children, maternity, and nursing clothing, as well as some accessories and shoes. We also have a wide selection of second hand children's books.

How does consignment work?

The consignment period is 90 days.

For the first 60 days your items will go on the sales floor at full price, for the last 30 days your items will go on the sale rack at a 25% discount.

At the end of your 90 day consignment period you will receive a check for 50% of the sales price for your items. Or you can take store credit in lieu of a check and you will receive 55% of the sales price for your items and you can use the credit at any time even if your consignment period has not yet ended.

If anything is left unsold you have 7 days to pick up your items. Anything that is not picked up within 7 days will become the property of Sunshine Kids Georgetown, and either be donated or sold at a further discount at our discretion.

Please note: all items are left at your own risk.

Although rare, theft, fire and damage can happen. Security cameras are present throughout the store to monitor and prevent theft.

What types of items does Sunshine Kids accept?

We accept new, nearly new, and gently worn infant, children, maternity, and nursing clothing, as well as some accessories and shoes. *

Items must be freshly laundered, free of heavy perfume or scent, and free of stains, holes, rips, fading, and cracking.

*We are selective and may not accept all items.

What sizes and ages do you cater to?

Preemie to 16.

Maternity and nursing.

Do you carry seasonal or special occasion clothing?

Yes! We carry seasonal and special occasion clothing.

How often does your inventory change?

Our boutique changes seasonally and our consignment inventory changes daily.

Do you offer gift cards or gift wrapping services?

No for now, but we will have gift bags available in purchase in store.

What is your return/exchange policy?

7 day exchange policy on boutique items. Final sale on all consignment items.

Do you accept returns on consignment items?

Final sale on all consignment items.

Do you have parking or easy stroller access?

There is convienient parking and pretty easy stroller access.

Is the store child-friendly (play area, stroller space, etc.)?

We do recommend supervision of children and we do have a small play area.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, CC, Apple pay, and Google pay.
